Junior Researcher (PhD student) in network security

SBA Research is a research center for Information Security funded partly by the national initiative for COMET Competence Centers for Excellent Technologies. Within a network of more than 70 companies, 15 Austrian and international universities and research institutions, and many additional international research partners we jointly work on research challenges ranging from organizational to technical security to strengthen Europe’s Cybersecurity capabilities.

We are looking for

Junior Researcher (PhD student) in network security

Your tasks:
  • collaboration in challenging research projects
  • independent work on open research questions
  • dissemination of scientific results at international conferences
  • contribution to national and international grant proposals
  • interest in doing a PhD
  • master degree in computer science, electrical engineering or related discipline (Uni, FH)
  • background in network engineering: protocols, management, etc. (preferably Internet Protocols)
  • proficient in at least one programming language
  • fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • capacity for teamwork
  • interest in an academic career
  • high motivation
