We are looking for a female student with a finished/ nearly finished bachelor degree with technical background or a female student who would like to work on socio-technical systems. The main focus of the internship is on resilience analysis and modeling of complex systems. As we are in close contact with national and international corporations, SMEs, start-ups, universities, and technical colleges, our team has a wide-ranging technical know-how. SBA Research therefore offers an interesting environment to gain first research and professional experience.
This internship is aligned with the requirements and framework of the FEMtech program of FFG.
Responsibilites:
- Collaborate on exciting research projects analyzing interactions and interdependencies of technical, social, and ecological systems (e.g., critical infrastructures)
- Collection and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data (standardized surveys, group discussions, open access data; handling of databases, statistical programs like SPSS)
- Model building in cooperation with technical experts
- Supporting activities in the creation of standardized and context-specific resilience parameters
Requirements:
- Finished/ nearly finished bachelor degree in computer science, data science, physics, earth sciences, mathematics or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of statistical analysis
- Basic knowledge of qualitative and quantitative surveys
- Interest in interdisciplinary topics
- Basic knowledge of Python and/or R (optional)
