SBA Research to host ERCIM Spring Meetings 2026
This May, SBA Research opens its doors to the European research community. From 20–21 May 2026, we are hosting the ERCIM Spring Meetings at our Vienna offices, welcoming representatives from member institutions across Europe for two days of strategic discussions, board deliberations, and collaborative exchange. It is a moment we have been looking forward to, and one that reflects the strength of the partnerships we have built over the years within ERCIM.
The ERCIM Days bring together some of Europe’s most prominent research institutions in a focused, collaborative setting. Having this meeting take place at SBA Research reflects the strength of our European partnerships and our active role in shaping the direction of research across the continent.
Programme
The meetings span two days. On Wednesday, 20 May, participants will kick off with Task Group sessions, covering Science and the Editorial Board, followed by a coffee break and then the Strategy Task Group. The day closes with a joint dinner.
Thursday, 21 May opens with the AISBL Board meeting, and after a short break, the morning wraps up with a familiarisation session featuring presentations from our research center. We will present our research activities to the assembled ERCIM membership, an opportunity to showcase the breadth and depth of work happening here at SBA, spanning information security, machine learning, critical infrastructure protection, IoT security, and more.
We look forward to welcoming our ERCIM colleagues to Vienna and to a productive two days of discussion, strategy, and connection.
