Florian Holzbauer, researcher at SBA Research, and Gabriel Gegenhuber, researcher at SBA Research and the Research Group Security and Privacy at the University of Vienna, attended the Annual Computer Security Applications Conference (ACSAC) 2025 in Hawaii, USA.

Gabriel Gegenhuber presented the poster titled “A Relay a Day Keeps the AirTag Away: Practical Relay Attacks on Apple’s AirTags“.

The conference covered a wide range on topics from AI/LLM application in security and regulatory pathway for AI in the US, side channel attacks by extracting audio from computer mouse lasers, PHP de-obfuscators, as well as test of time awards.

There was an on-site CTF in parallel to the conference organized by members of the well-known CTF team Shellphish. Florian Holzbauer managed to secure third place. Congratulations!
