Together with Miroslav Dobsicek (RISE) and Filippo Vella (CNR-ICAR), Sebastian contributed to shaping this issue, which brings together current research and developments in quantum computing, quantum communication, quantum sensing, quantum software and related technologies.

The October 2026 issue explores how quantum technology is moving from individual components and experimental demonstrations towards integrated quantum systems, connecting quantum hardware and algorithms with classical computing, software, networks, sensing platforms and real-world applications.

Sebastian Raubitzek is also an author of the article “Planning and Sizing National Quantum Communication Networks,” published in the same issue together with Rebecca Klingbeil (SBA Research) and Werner Strasser (fragmentiX). The article examines approaches for estimating the infrastructure needed for national terrestrial quantum key distribution (QKD) networks in Europe.
