On 24th October the “Technolution – Herbstkongress” (Technolution – autumn congress) took place at the technical museum in Vienna. The event was promoting education and professions in the technical and research area, targeting students in middle and high school with a special focus on girls and women in technology. Part of the Technolution was a speeddating-like discussion round with female engineers and researchers, one of them Stefanie Plieschnegger from SBA Research. Students from two different high schools in Vienna took that opportunity to ask questions about research, education, obstacles and visions, and to get an honest insight of a researcher’s everyday life.
The discussion round was organized by bmvit (Bundesministerium für Verkehr, Innovation und Technologie) and PlanSinn.
