At SBA Research, one of the topics we explore is the Software Bill of Behavior (SBoB) – an approach that enhances traceability and security across the software supply chain and enables early anomaly detection. Through this work, we aim to foster greater transparency and trust in software development and deployment.

“Designing secure software supply chains is one of the key challenges of our time. Through our involvement with the Linux Foundation Europe, we aim to contribute to the development of practical, open-standard-based solutions and to strengthen Europe’s digital resilience in a sustainable way,” says Constanze Roedig, Key Researcher at SBA Research.

As Austria’s largest research center for information security, we have been conducting applied security research for many years. Our mission is to translate scientific findings into practical, real-world applications that support both the economy and society in building a more secure digital future.

“Trusted software supply chains require robust security research. The Linux Foundation Europe works closely with cybersecurity experts and the OpenSSF to integrate proven best practices across the open-source ecosystem. We are pleased to welcome SBA Research as excellent contributors with expertise in anomaly detection and software transparency to our community,” says Mirko Boehm, Linux Foundation Europe.

This collaboration opens up new opportunities for us to exchange knowledge with international partners and to co-create a secure, resilient, and transparent digital ecosystem based on open standards and shared values.
