Congratulations to our key researcher Johanna Ullrich!

We warmly congratulate Prof. Johanna Ullrich, key researcher at SBA Research, on her appointment to the Founding Professorship in Security at IT:U.

Over the past years, Johanna Ullrich has gained a strong reputation for her outstanding research in network security, internet protocols, and critical infrastructures. Her work is characterized by an interdisciplinary approach and the development of innovative empirical measurement methods. Through this, she makes a key contribution to the understanding and security of the internet – one of the fundamental pillars of modern society.

“Life as we know it would not be possible without the internet, and this infrastructure is operated in a decentralized manner. […] In my research, I study internet protocols, develop new measurement methods, and analyze large-scale experiments to draw conclusions about the security and centralization of the internet.”

With her new professorship, Johanna Ullrich will not only continue her high-level research but also inspire and educate the next generation of researchers in future-oriented topics related to secure and resilient infrastructures.
