Congratulations to Edgar Weippl on His Appointment as Dean of the Faculty of Informatics!
We warmly congratulate Edgar Weippl, Scientific Director of SBA Research and Head of the Security and Privacy Research Group at the University of Vienna, on his appointment as Dean of the Faculty of Informatics.

Upon nomination by the professors, the Rectorate has selected him for this important role. His two-year term will commence on October 1, 2026.
His appointment is a well-deserved recognition of his outstanding contributions to cybersecurity research, his academic leadership, and his commitment to advancing the field of informatics.
