Congratulations! MLDM colleagues qualified for the European Cybersecurity & AI Hackathon Championship Finale
Tanja Šarčević, Daryna Olyinyk, and Yelyzaveta Klysa, MLDM research group members, and Sabina Khazari participated in the European Cybersecurity & AI Hackathon Championship organized by CISPA, one of Europe’s leading research centers in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence. Congratulations to them, they won 2nd place and qualified themselves to the grand finale that will be held in St. Ingbert, Germany, in June 2026.

The initiative aims to strengthen Europe’s position as a hub for digital excellence by promoting cybersecurity competencies, fostering practical engagement with AI technologies, and increasing awareness of the importance of trustworthy and secure digital systems. The hackathon is part of a series of regional competitions held across multiple European countries, including France, Austria, Sweden, Spain, and Poland, bringing together emerging talent to collaboratively address challenges in cybersecurity and AI.
Participation in this event contributed to hands-on skill development, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and exposure to current research-driven approaches in secure and trustworthy AI systems.
