Austrian Scientific Computing (ASC) is a collaboration of TU Wien and other major Austrian universities, providing high-performance computing infrastructure, user support, and advanced expertise in scientific computing. The ASC Research Center operates state-of-the-art supercomputer systems and supports researchers in developing and optimizing modern HPC applications. Its mission is to enable cutting-edge scientific projects. We are currently seeking a motivated professional to build and support our Information Security Management System (ISMS) .
Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of our internal ISMS in line with ISO/IEC 27001 requirements
- Assist with risk assessments and contribute to defining security measures based on internal processes and common industry standards
- Help implement, review, and monitor the effectiveness of information security controls and policies
- Collaborate closely with IT, software development, facility management, legal, and service teams to support the rollout of security measures
- Provide guidance to internal teams on information security topics
Profile:
- (Nearly) completed education in IT or a related field (HTL, FH, or university), ideally with a focus in IT-Security or Information Security
- (Initial) professional experience in a similar role in alignment with the responsibilities of this position
- Solid understanding of the ISO 27001 standard and motivation to learn how ISMS processes are applied in practice
- Analytical and structured working style with a solution-oriented mindset
- Strong communication skills and willingness to grow in a collaborative environment
