Andreas Ekelhart visiting researcher @Edith Cowan University
Our colleague Andreas Ekelhart, key researcher and Applied Research Lead at SBA Research, spent 3 weeks in July 2026 as a visiting researcher at Edith Cowan University (ECU) in Perth, Australia, hosted by Prof. Helge Janicke and his research group.

Prof. Janicke’s group works on cybersecurity automation, including the use of knowledge graphs and language models, as well as security in the industrial control systems (ICS) domain. Topics closely aligned with ongoing research at SBA Research. During his stay, Andreas gave a talk presenting SBA Research’s research directions in cybersecurity automation and related ongoing projects such as AIAGENT4CYBER. The visit provided an excellent opportunity for in-depth knowledge exchange on knowledge graphs, language models, and ICS security, and laid the groundwork for future joint research activities between SBA Research and ECU.

Andreas also attended the 31st Australasian Conference on Information Security and Privacy (ACISP 2026), held July 6–9, 2026 in Perth and co-organized by the University of Western Australia and ECU.
