Abstract
“Coding is a solved problem” proclaim LLM and AI agent companies alike. Indeed, coding agents have become remarkably good at quickly turning a problem description into code that plausibly works. Moreover, they generate automated tests and other verification procedures to check their solution. Considering all those capabilities, what is keeping them from generating secure code?
In this talk we will explore the fundamental reasons why producing secure code is so difficult. After that we will present a couple of strategies that help Coding agents by steering them into the right direction.
