We’re teaming up with the Vienna DevOps Security Meetup! Here’s their link to the same event. RSVP’ing to one of the two is sufficient!
In our past Meetups, we’ve been talking a lot about vulnerabilities, flaws, security requirements, secure coding processes, etc. But what does it all boil down to in the end? Right! Writing secure code. For this special Meetup, we’re partnering up with Secure Code Warrior, a platform where you’ll be challenged to find and fix security bugs in actual code. Analyze existing code, spot the vulnerability, find a solution to it, and implement it immediately!
All that is fully gamified, so you’ll be competing with other Secure Coding Warriors! You can choose between the following languages / platforms / frameworks / tools (you can choose only one):
• Java Spring
Don’t worry if you’re just a beginner to one of these technologies, there are challenges in different levels and hints if you need them. Let us assure you: You’ll learn a lot by just participating! Oh and by the way, we’re giving away the following prices, one for each winner in each category:
• Angular participants: A full one-year JetBrains license
• Docker participants: A ticket to the next sec4dev Conference
• Kubernetes participants: A free three-hour architecture review of your Kubernetes environment by WhizUs
• Java Spring participants: A free three-hour security architecture review of your web or mobile application by SBA Research
Secure Code Warrior is also giving away goodies to the top 3 participants overall (1 hoodie & 2 t-shirts).
18:00: Secure Coding Tournament
19:30: Award ceremony
20:00: Discussions & virtually socializing!
Looking forward to seeing you there!
