SBA @ LSZ Cyber Crime Forum Salzburg

September 18, 2025 , 11:55 am - 12:15 pm

We would like to invite you to the LSZ Cyber Crime Forum Salzburg. Our colleagues Stefan Jakoubi, Director of Professional Services, and Mathias Tausig, Senior Consultant, are giving an expert talk on CRA, ASVS & SAMM – 3 Abkürzungen mit Schlagkraft – MFG.

Abstract

“Every company is a software company” (Watts S. Humphrey) does that mean every company falls under the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA)?

More and more legal acts of the European Union require the mandatory implementation of cybersecurity measures. The Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) specifically targets “products with digital elements.” Harmonized standards for product cybersecurity or European certification schemes are, as of today, either not yet issued or require complex certification processes. Using selected Essential Security Requirements from Annex I of the Cyber Resilience Act and an approach based on SAMM and ASVS, we demonstrate one way to address these requirements. The result could already serve as the basis for a self-assessment of conformity with the CRA or as evidence in the context of third-party evaluations.
