Research Interests

His research interests include information modelling, database security, software reuse, and workflow management.

Bio

From 1985 to 1994 he worked as Full Professor at the Institute of Statistics and Computer Science of the TU Wien where he was the Head of this institute from 1985 to 1987. He was Visiting Professor at the universities of Zurich, Kyushu and Wroclaw (Poland) and at the Technical Universities of Prague and Lausanne (Switzerland). He acted as the President of the Austrian Computer Society from 1999 to 2003. He is member of the IFIP Technical Committee for Information Systems.

Since 2000 A Min is Vice-Chairman of the DEXA-Association (Database and Expert Systems Applications). Since 2006 he is Vice-Chairman of the IFIP Working Group 8.9 (Enterprise Information Systems). He has been elected for Vice-President of the Infoterm (International Information Center for Terminology) for the term 2010-2012. Since 2017 he is also chief scientific officer of SCCH, a COMET center for software technology in Hagenberg in Upper Austria.
