Her work bridges the gap between AI security research and practical industry needs.
She actively contributes to the scientific community, serving as a reviewer for prestigious journals and top-tier conferences. Grosse organizes international scientific events such as SatML, and holds a patent. Since September 2025, she has been a member of the European research network ELLIS. Beyond her research contributions, Grosse plays an active role in shaping global standards for AI security incident reporting.
In this context, she has been featured on the OECD blog and is involved in developing a new ETSI standard.
Bio
She earned her master’s degree from Saarland University and completed her Ph.D. at CISPA Helmholtz Center, Saarland University, in 2021, under the guidance of Michael Backes. Following her doctorate, she conducted postdoctoral research with Battista Biggio in Cagliari, Italy, and Alexandre Alahi at EPFL, Switzerland and was a research scientist at IBM research, Zurich. Grosse also gained valuable industry experience through internships at IBM in 2019 and Disney Research in 2020/21.
