RASSA

Reference Architecture for Secure Smart Grids in Austria

The RASSA architecture project has developed a uniform reference architecture for secure Smart Grids in Austria. The project used already existing standards and concepts and specified a reference architecture in close coordination with all relevant actors. By adopting the principles of the reference architecture when instantiating individual components, secure and interoperable Smart Grid systems can be implemented in a consistent and efficient manner.

In addition to the “RASSA Architecture” Requirements Assessment and Use Case Definition, SBA Research devised a methodology in the risk management reporting period in consultation with relevant “RASSA Architecture” project partners, which allows the reference architecture, modelled with the SGAM Toolbox, to be used for ongoing risk management tasks.
