Cyber Resilience Act: Praktische Resilienz für Österreich
Assisting the national effort to implement the Cyber Resilience Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/2847), the project strives to develop processes and tools that enable and assist Austrian companies, especially SMEs, but also public authorities to meet CRA requirements.
Increasing digitalization and proliferating compliance legislation are creating new challenges for SMEs and public authorities. The Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), passed at the end of 2024 and will fully apply from 2027. It aims to strengthen the security of digital products and while some European countries have already taken initial measures to assist organizations, Austria currently lacks clear national processes, guidelines, and responsibilities. The project will develop practical solutions for a coordinated national implementation of the CRA and support both companies and public authorities. SBA is lead of WP4 and will contribute to the legal analysis and assessment of requirements in the field of cybersecurity. We will also conduct interviews and survey existing best practices and requirements with public authorities.
